I installed MacOS Monterey 12.3 on a MacBook Pro (13-inch, M1, 2020). AppleMail now very frequently refuses to show the bulk of an email. If I "reply" to such an email, the reply does not even copy the subject heading. What should I do?

I would Rebuild the Mailbox using the command in the Mailbox menu.

Thank you for the suggestion. It eliminated all the emails in the mailbox that were not readable.
