Apple TV

My box was working fine yesterday until it updated itself and now can’t connect to the internet, I’ve done all the things you should unplugged, rebooted, tested the Ethernet connection etc etc and it still doesn’t work. I’ve even tried to reset however it won’t let me!

anyone got any ideas?

I'm sorry to hear that you're having trouble with your Apple TV. Here are a few things you can try to troubleshoot the issue:

  1. Make sure that your router is on and working properly. You can try unplugging and then replugging the router to reset it.
  2. Check the Ethernet cable and make sure it is securely connected to both the Apple TV and the router.
  3. Try connecting the Apple TV to a different Ethernet port on the router.
  4. If you are using a wireless connection, make sure that the Apple TV is within range of the router and that there are no obstacles blocking the signal.
  5. Check for any updates for your Apple TV. To do this, go to the Settings app on your Apple TV, then select System > Software Updates.
  6. If none of these steps work, you may need to reset your Apple TV to its factory settings. To do this, go to the Settings app on your Apple TV, then select System > Reset.

I hope these suggestions help! Let me know if you have any other questions.

Hi many thanks I’d tried pretty much everything on the list only thing I hadn’t was trying another Ethernet connection, I tried & the internet works fine in the computer however the Apple box says no Internet - why would an update mess up my box??

I guess I have to take the box to Apple as it doesn’t work anymore, as mentioned I can’t even reset as it won’t let me!!!
