Predictive Text Suggestion Not Learning

I am using an iPad Pro (iPadOS 16.6.1), Chrome browser. Sometime before the last OS update the predictive text suggestion and dictionary learning stopped working. It used to be the case that if I used a phrase often enough, it would be suggested within a few key strokes. Now it doesn't do that and what's more, it doesn't seem to learn any new phrases or words. I am using this for a medical application and I used to be able to type out drug names and medical terminology a few times and they would be registered by the dictionary, now that no longer happens. Most of the time the text replacement shortcuts I have created to work around this don't work either.

Thanks. Unfortunately, the Predictive setting is on and predictions are being generated but it is not learning. It does not generate predictions that are useful. In the past, the Predictive function was quite good.
