poor sound while ringing, the sound too low and poor also in whatsapp while listening to voice messages , i have to raise the iphone near to my ear to listen the voice messages its very hard to hear like normal , another thing
i have to touch the voice button 2-3 times to send a voice message its very small and stuck

The solution is to download the latest version of WhatsApp. Meta (WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram) has released 3 updates for their app in the last 7 days. Each update was for bugs. What does that tell you about their app? I know what it tells me. 😀

iPhone 16’s are all under warranty. But if they can’t examine them, how do you expect a clear solution and clear answer?

I had the same issue with my WhatsApp just now. Quit WhatsApp and restart again, I can hear the message as normal volume. Hope this helps. I didn’t try the iMessage though because I don’t use it.

WhatsApp is a Meta owned application. They have released a LOT of buggy applications and have to release updates to their apps multiple times a month. This isn't an iPhone issue. Contact Meta for help as Apple has NOTHING to do with WhatsApp at all.

I'm experiencing the same issue. I've compared the speaker sound between the 16 Pro Max and the 15 Pro Max. The 15 Pro Max is noticeably louder, whether I'm listening to music or making phone calls, especially when it comes to the earpiece. I can't figure out what's wrong. I took my phone to an Apple Store in Saudi Arabia, where they ran a diagnostic using an app on a laptop, but no errors were found.
exactly the same problem , we have to report this bug to apple , my brother have iphone 13 the sound is very ok this problem only on iphone 16 pro max
If it’s specific to WhatsApp, it’s not an Apple issue. Contact WhatsApp support team for additional assistance.

It's the same **** issue on iMessage as well. Compare with older models if you can.
I’ve checked it against the older models, and the speaker sound itself is a pathetic whisper compared to the 15 Pro Max, 13 Pro Max, or even the ancient XS Max—what a disgrace!
The voice messages’ sound on whatsapp has become much lower than before since I purchased the iPhone 16 Pro Max. Can you resolve this issue?because the voice messages’ sound is very low in iphone 16 pro max Completely unlike my old iPhone, where the sound was very strong.
Same goes to me,just bought an Iphone 16 pro max 512GB around one week,noticed that the sounds for ringer/notifications/calling/Voice messages in whatsapp & wechat are not loud and really low quality,like the speakers’ are spoiled!
But for normal music listening like youtube/spotify/videos from social media platforms all just worked fine,so I believe it’s more on the software issue,so APPLE please fix this asap,we pay alot for this but u letting us feel like changing to other brands now is better !!
I have the same issues on my IPhone 16 pro max ,especially when I am listening to to WhatsApp voice notes or status ,it is very low this version of iPhone 16 pro max has a lot of issues including itching in the face when you are looking at the screen which can cause myopic sickness
