How do I uninstall Microsoft apps and remove their icons from my Mac's usage bar?

I bought Microsoft Office package from an website dealer. They sent (and I loaded the whole shebang) but they sent the activation key to an old, inactive “address” of mine… thus I couldn’t open any of it up. Microsoft said that it wasn’t their fault. The dealer I bought from said that they had sent it to an address registered with Microsoft. Unfortunately, I no longer had access to that address. NOW I CANNOT GET the Microsoft JUNK out of my desktop. It takes ages to load every day, and it takes up scads of space… and I cannot figure out how to move it to the trash. There are markers in the Applications folder… but nothing in the launchpad. And NOW it has a couple of icons STUCK in my usage bar tat the bottom of my screen.
