Vertical Lines on my iPhone 16 Pro Max display

Is anyone still experiencing the issue (split second vertical lines)? Apple replaced my phone 10 days ago and I haven’t seen the issue since. So I am inclined to think it was a hardware issue, unless the iOS 18.2.1 update fixed it?

I do still have the vertical lines issue even after all these iOS updates including this most recent one. I intend on going to the Apple Store and swapping it out as soon as I return from my vacations this season. By then they should more than have enough new batches by then that aren’t from the same original one that generated this issue. I will be keeping my eyes and ears open to these discussions as we are still hearing about people having this issue on new phones. Mine continues on occasion when I activate Siri using the side button, and on occasion when I get a notification. I have had a few games crash on me as well, and they are in Apple Arcade. That’s concerning.

I’ve got an iPhone 16 pro max that I ordered in October which has this. It occasionally will flicker black lines down the screen for a fraction of a second. It seems to happen when I’m switching apps or loading new web pages. I mostly just ignore it having read about it earlier. It’s been going on for at least a few months I think. I’m sure a lot of people don’t realize what’s happening or don’t think much of it. It’s certainly not intended or “normal” behavior though.

Mine has been doing this too frequently now the always on display doesn’t turn on anymore. They’re replacing my screen tomorrow.

This issue did not happen for me (that I noticed) on 18.3.1. However, I installed 18.3.2 this week and started seeing it again.

i got the iPhone 16 pro max and the same thing is happening to me. it’s like a screen length black and white barcode that appears for like 0.1s and disappears with a blink of an eye. im glad im not the only one but im so frustrated bc it actually low key bothers me. I thought maybe i broke my phone but not after reading all of you guys’s comments. @apple pls fix this.

My apple iphone 16 Pro Max is also a new one.I bought it on this october and I met with the same problem. But the problem is It’s so hard to prove this matter.It just appear for like 0.1s and then dissapears with a blink of eye.@apple please fix this

Also, its very fast, something in the span of milliseconds, lines from bottom to top, blue greenish and happens after unlocking or switching apps.

Hope its software issue, but IOS 18.1.1 did not fix it.

Apple Support offered me a replacement today, they seemed clueless about this issue. I’m hesitant to get a replacement after hearing everyone’s story about how the problem continued even with their newly replaced phones. If it’s a software issue, I think I’ll just wait for it to be fixed.

I have the same thing, I bought an iPhone 16 Pro Max in October and immediately upon activation I noticed that the screen sensor was responding poorly, especially the keyboard, and then I immediately noticed the screen blinking with white stripes. It happens 1-2 times a day, then everything can be fine all day and then it repeats again

@tomasz377 are you still experiencing the issue? If so in what month is your current phone manufactured? I wonder if this is a problem with the iPhone 16 Pro Max manufactured in September 2024? That’s when my phone was manufactured.

Mine says August 2024, first use October 2024. I think it’s safe to say Apple is well aware of the issue, and that the most recent updates have not resolved it. I am still seeing the li es even after all the updates and hard reboots. They are different now and appear more to the right of the vertical centerline.
